The bond between husband and wife is a strong one. Once you have committed to one another, in front of God and a host of family members, that you will be together forever you must do everything in your power to make it to forever.
In The Beginning
The beginning of a relationship is always the most fun. Even if you have been dating for a number of years, the first year of marriage will have its share of surprises. You will learn things you enjoy about your beloved, like the way the sun looks on their face when morning breaks and they are still asleep. You are also going to find things out about them that will annoy you, such as, them leaving one drop of milk in the container instead of finishing it off and throwing it away. Whatever loves or annoyances you have for your chosen partner in life will come out during that first year.
Children Come Along
Not all marriages will have children. There are those who choose to live a life simply devoted to one another without adding anyone else to the mix. For most marriages, however, children will eventually come. Having a new baby is a joyous occasion. It can also be a very frightening one. Many thoughts go through your mind when you are about to become a parent. You will read a number of books to become the perfect parent. You will never achieve that goal no matter how many books you read. Do not fret. You and your spouse will survive with relatively little injury.
The thing to remember is that you and your spouse are in this together. You both have to agree on key points in raising the child. One of the most difficult and frustrating topics for many couples is in the form of discipline. Each of you will have different views on the subject. Talk them out and listen to one another. Every child is different in the way they respond to discipline. Do what works for your child, but be consistent in your method. You are the parent. Make that notion clear.
Find Time to Celebrate
Between kids, work, and family obligations there seems to be no time to celebrate the love you have for one another. Date nights are a great way to reconnect and rekindle a little romance. If your schedule or your babysitter does not allow for a date night to happen you can celebrate your spouse in other ways. One way is to give them a gift to commemorate a specific time in your lives. Twenty fingers have some wonderful ways to celebrate one another with their papercuts like love silhouette. They are great for a personalized anniversary gift and come in a variety of frames to make your love shine through.
Simple things to show you care are often more important than lavish getaways or expensive presents. Marriage is complicated, but it does not have to feel like you are stuck. Always express your love for one another and listen to what your spouse has to say. Never go to bed angry and make an effort to let them know that no matter how many years go by you will always love them with all your heart
